He was born in Athens in 1962 and grew up in the Museum area. In 1979, he graduated from Leontion Lyceum N. Smyrnis (Lycée Leonin) and in 1980, he was admitted to SSAS (Military School of Corps Officers), Medical Department of AUTH.
In 1986, he received his Medical Degree, and in 1989, he began his General Surgery specialization, initially at 251 HGA and subsequently at Evangelismos Hospital (2nd Surgical Department). In 1994, he obtained the title of General Surgeon Surgeon and began working as an Attending Surgeon at the 251 General Air Force Hospital until his retirement in 2007.
From 1998-1999, he worked as a resident in the Breast Surgery Department (director Dr. Chrishna Clough) at Institut Curie Hospital (Paris) and was trained in Pathology, Imaging, Surgical, and Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. During his stay, he participated in a research program under the supervision of the French State on the topic: Individualisation du Ganglion Axillaire Sentinelle dans les Cancers Opérables du Sein (Dr. J. F. Rodier).
