Dimitrios Borousas is an andrologist – urologist surgeon specialising in reconstructive urology and andrology. He is a retired Navy Captain – Doctor, member of European Boards of Urology, co-founder of AndroClinic, and an active member of the Sava Perovic Foundation (an international centre for reconstructive genital surgery).
His primary focus is on penile and urethral surgery, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of external genitalia (Peyronie’s disease, phalloplasty, congenital anomalies, gender reassignment), male and female urinary incontinence, male infertility and its microsurgical restoration methods, and minimally invasive techniques for the prostate, bladder, and urolithiasis.
On October 3, 1983, he was admitted to the Military Academy of Combat Support Officers (HMACSO Medical) and. at the same time, to the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, graduating in 1990.
From 1991 to 2011, he served as a Medical Officer in the Navy, in various positions, primarily at the Naval Hospital of Athens as a specialist registrar in the Urology Clinic.
He obtained his specialty in January 2000, after training at Evangelismos General Hospital and six months at “Aghia Sophia” Children’s Hospital. In the same year, after examinations in Vienna, he was awarded the title of Fellow of the European Boards of Urology.
