Stylianos Vitzileos was born and raised in Athens, of Naxos origin. He was admitted to the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1998 through nationwide examinations.

After graduation, he completed his military service in the Navy, providing medical services at the Naval Hospital of Salamina and later at the Hellenic Navy Fast Boat Command.

He served as a rural doctor at the General Hospital of Syros and then at the General Hospital – Health Centre of Naxos.

He received his specialty in General Family Medicine from the General State Hospital of Nikea – Piraeus “Agios Panteleimon” in 2012. During his residency, he trained in a highly demanding hospital environment, dealing with acute and chronic illnesses in Primary Health Care, specifically in Pathology, Surgery, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, ENT, Paediatrics, Public Health, Psychiatry, Microbiology, Ophthalmology, the Diabetes Centre for patients with Diabetes, and in hospital clinics outside the curriculum, such as Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, and Intensive Care.

He trained in Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) and obtained a diploma from the National Centre for Emergency Assistance (EKAV). He has participated in national conferences as a speaker, but also presenting papers.

Since July 2012, he is working as a private doctor in Naxos, serving both the island’s population and its major hotel units, as well as medical tourism.

From 2018 to 2022, he served as Vice President of the Medical Association of Cyclades, and since 2022, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Medical Association.

In 2022, he completed his postgraduate studies at the RENE DESCARTES College of the University of LE CNAM Paris and obtained the RNCP title of Director of Medical and Medico-social Institutions.

In August 2023, he founded NAXOS MEDICAL, a state-of-the-art private centre for Primary Health Care, at a central location in Naxos Town, aimed at benefiting the residents and visitors of the island, providing specialised services from specialties not available on the island or in the wider Cyclades region, which previously required travel to Athens.

Naxos Medical Clinic, as a facility, meets all modern standards for serving the population and visitors of the island, with special emphasis on serving people with mobility issues, and offers high-level medical services with its distinguished medical staff and well-trained personnel across all departments.
